ADVISORY AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT IN DRILLINGS

Our experience allows us to know about the project of our clients and give them the proper recommendations in order to optimize their processes and ensure compliance with their business plan

OUR SUCCESS

Each project is different and we adapt our technology to ensure the success of our strategic partners.

FLOODED REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILLING

This type of drilling is recommended on land suitable for tricones and is used in large diameter wells. This method allows the material to be recovered inside the drill bar to the surface, preventing the borehole from collapsing. The system consists of flooding the interior space and annular space with mud, and by injecting air into the bars, a pressure difference between mud columns is produced, causing mud and cuttings to move. Depending on the conditions, it is possible to drill by supplying water from the same well.

CASING DRILLING SYSTEM

The simultaneous casing drilling system allows drilling and introducing pipelines simultaneously. Its application is carried out in unconsolidated lands, whether they are sands, alluvial, gravel and / or clays, as well as for the drilling of water wells, foundations and pilings. The perforation is carried out by means of air, in which a drilling hammer acts, and this one connected by means of the drill bit to the casing, allows the casing to be installed as the procedure proceeds. It can be used by conventional or reverse drilling.

CONVENTIONAL DRILLING WITH DTH OR TRICONES

Drilling used in different types of rocks, from soft to hard, with a wide variety of drilling diameters. Method consists of the use of air or mud, injected through the center of conventional rods (single wall). The recovery of fluid takes place through the annular space (space between the wall of the well and bars). Samples are usually contaminated in the walls of the well not being representative of the perforated bottom, therefore, its geological value for exploration is low. In addition, its efficiency is affected in large diameters, by loss of annular velocity.

REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILLING

It is a method that is characterized by using double wall bars, where the air supply is made through the annular space, and the samples are extracted by the inner tube. Its advantage lies in delivering samples from the bottom of the well without exposing them to contamination, it is also called Face Sampling, a characteristic that makes it perfect for geological evaluation. It is also applied in water wells and large diameter foundations. It can be operated by the use tricone or hammer.

NEWS

MERIT AWARD 2019

«This recognition is an incentive to continue reinforcing our safety culture in all our processes, but especially with our workers, because they are the ones who materialize day by day, our commitment to safety and the effort to do things well, always in continuous improvement,» said Drillers Supply’s General Manager, Mijali Proestakis Muñoz, referring to the recent recognition given by IST at regional level.

“It characterizes us to do things with enthusiasm and not to fear of the challenges”

(Mijali Proestakis, General Manager DSI Chile)

We observed on the ground how it would be possible to optimize the operation of the Reverse Circulation Bar, and decided to redesign and create an own wire. This meant having a larger inner tube and greater resistance.

With this modification and other improvements in its manufacture we managed to meet the record of the largest drilling in Chile, with 852 meters of depth and reach 1,200 meters in Spain, drilling water wells with diameters of 8 inches.

Introduce redesigns in high-pressure drilling

We have been manufacturing and designing different supplies for drilling for 25 years. This challenged us to be the first to design and assemble our compressor boosters, that is, we were able to introduce high pressure drilling in exploration, reaching 350 to 1,000 psi.

What’s is its advantage?

It allows us to double the speed of penetration, reach deeper, obtain better quantity and quality of samples, larger perforations in the presence of water.

One of the deepest telescope drilling made

We have always accepted the challenges, and in Alicante city, we achieved the deepest Telescopic drilling in the world reaching a telescopic reduction of 16 to 14 inches and reaching up to 250 meters deep. On that occasion, we supported the drilling of water wells in a town near to Alicante, Spain.

Rescue of the 33 miners

A phone call from one of our clients alerted us to one of the biggest tragedies in Chilean mining. We did not hesitate and became part of the search and rescue maneuvers of the 33 miners trapped in the San José Mine, located 30 kilometers from Copiapó city, and 700 meters deep, for 70 days. We had a silent role, but key in the rescue through supplies of equipment for the drilling of searches, as well as equipment of measurement of the type of search engines, design, supplies, and direction of PLAN B, which allowed this historic rescue.
