A day full of learning was experienced by the workers of Drillers Supply, together with the Instituto de Seguridad del Trabajo, who shared with the attendees of the First Aid course, a series of techniques which they can use in an emergency event.
During the course which considered various techniques such as cardiorespiratory maneuvers, a sense of teamwork was developed and the need to always remain calm in order to be able to react correctly in the event of an accident in the workplace, and thus be able to go to help of their co -workers.
Drillers Supply workers had the opportunity together with IST instructors to recognize the symptoms and causes of the most frequent emergencies and to note what is the actual capacity of reaction.
The team must remain calm, identify the emergency, call for help, clearly informing the severity of the injury and the alternatives of solution.
«This course allows us to acquire knowledge, train techniques and become aware of the importance of the self-care of the equipment, to know how to react safely not only identifying the risk and not only by adopting a safe attitude, but by the way in which we should react to an emergency, because that response capacity can make the difference between life and death,» said Drillers Supply General Manager Mijali Proestakis.
